AWESOME LAWSON
(The Next Line)

Just call me Henri, please.
So easy it is to pose upon request.
From person to person I am passed.
To be tenderly clasped,
While I, with paws aptly placed,
Candidly gaze, in my eucalyptus haze
Toward the flash of the camera lens.

What’s more, they pay me,
Statutory breaks, short hours,
Shampoos, manicures, all inclusive.
Immaculate I sit.
Food too, by the kilo!
And boy do I see some cuties.
What more could a little guy down under request?

So, tranquil in my stance,
I am able to ponder, even compose,
As my name would suppose,
Poetry, even prose.
Simplistic in style perhaps,
But it passes the time!
Have you not heard of reincarnation?
